Cambridge Success
The London Borough of Redbridge took a small team to a level 2 meet in Cambridge this weekend. It was a very successful meet with many County and Regional times achieved.
Fraser Scott was in awesome form. He won medals in every event he swam in and set a 5 sec PB in the 200 breast, 8 sec PB in the 400 free and set additional best times in the 200IM, 400IM, 100 breast and 200 fly.Samuel Kelly returned to form and swam brilliantly in all of his races. He achieved a 4 sec PB in the 200IM, 6 sec in the 200 back, 3 sec in the 100 back and 200 free – all County and Regional times.Sophie Priddle swam some great races and achieved two County times. She swam a 2 sec PB in the 200 free (County time), and a 6 sec PB in the 200 IM (County QT). Sophie also swam a best time in the 100 fly and a 20 sec PB in the 400 freeKieran Holdbrook swam a 14 sec PB in the 400 free (County QT) and a 10 sec PB in the 400 IM. He also swam achieved a best time in the 100 back.Lawrence Brown was is great form, setting a PB’s in the 50 free (27 secs), 100 back, 400 free, 200back, 100IM He also equalled his best in the 100 free and 200 free.Ryan Smith swam really well, setting a 4 sec PB in the 100 breast, and achieved another County time in the 100 IM. He also went under 59 for the 100 free and another PB in the 50 freeCharley Bird swam really well, achieving a 2 sec PB in the 100 free, 4 sec in the 100 breast and 2 sec PB in the 200IM.Claire Golightly achieved many best times. She achieved a 3 sec PB in the 200 back, 2 in the 100IM and achieved a small PB in the 50 free. She also equalled her best in the 200 breastAdam Gillard achieved a 1 sec PB in the 200 back and equalled his best time in the 200IM.Dean Smith achieved a PB in the 200IM and equalled his best time in the 50 & 200 free. Dean also made the ‘Skins’ elimination final and finished 2nd overall and was awarded £40. He also won the 100IM.Demi Smith achieved a best time in the 50 free and 100IM. She swam just outside of her PB in the 100breast, 200breast and 100 free.Ellie Bedwell having just returned to training swam just outside of her best times in the 100 fly, 400free and 100 back.Marie Campbell swam to a 4 sec PB in the 100 free, 5 sec in the 200 back. She equalled her best times in the 50 free & 200 free.Morgan Brown swam really well and achieved county times in the 200 back, 50 free and 100IM. Grace Wingrove swam just outside of her best in the 400IM, 100 breast, 200IM and 100 back.Kelsey Richards swam a seasons best in the 400 free and achieved a PB in the 50 free. She swam just outside of her best in the 200IM, 100 back and 100 free.Lewis DeFreitas-Archer, also having just returned to training achieved a PB in the 100IM and equalled his best in the 100 free and 200flyMathuri Karunakaran swam two best times in the 50free and 100 IM. Her sister Sankavee swam a 2 sec PB in the 200 back.Sophie Hollis swam well, swimming just outside of her best in the 50 free and 100IM.
