ESSEX BLOCK A RESULTS
The London Borough of Redbridge Swimming Club participated in the first round of the Essex 50m Championships. There were many great individual and relay performance.
Emily Cole swam to 2 medals, 1st in the 50m fly and 2nd in the 50m free. Chris Inch achieved 2 best times finishing 2nd in the back and 3rd in the fly. Kelsey Richards swam to 2nd in the back and 3rd in the free – both PBs. She also finished 4th in the breast. Joe Stamp swam a great 50 fly with a PB finishing 3rd, 6th back PB and another PB in the 50 free. Ivan Georgiev, having just returned from appendicitis, finished 2nd in the fly, 3rd free, 3rd breast with a PB and 5th back PB. Lucy Harwood swam to 2 PBs, finishing 3rd in the free and 4th in the back. Eloise Montanana finished 6th in the free with a PB and another PB in the back. Jessica Lambert achieved 3 PBs. Jess finished 2nd in the back and PBs in the breast and free. Theo Athientis swam to 2nd in the back and 3rd in the free – both PBs. Sophie Copper swam well, finishing 3rd in the back and fly. Johanna Lindblom achieved a PB in the 50 fly – 6th, 5th in the free and set another PB in the 50 back. Dean Smith finished 3rd in the 50 back – PB. Ben Hollis finished 4th in the 50 fly. Charlie Dentith achieved PBs in the 50 back – 5th and 4th in the fly. Toby Mascall swam to a PB in the 50 fly finishing 6th. Ellie Wright achieved a PB in the 50 back and 6th in the fly – both PBs. Nya Pentinaud came 4th in the fly and another PB in the free. Ellie Bedwell swam well in the back, finishing 6th in the final. Georgia Hunton Clarke finished 5th in the back and 6th in the fly. Other swimmers who achieved best times were, Kieran Holdbrook swam a PB in the free, Sophie Priddle fly and free, Frank McGuirk free and back, Kenneth Mann free, Back & fly, Ryan Smith free, Tom Beadle free, fly & back, Lawrence Brown free fly & Back, Ciara Purcell free, Charley Bird free and back, Fraser Scott , 50 fly, Grace Wingrove breast and Samuel Kelly 50 back. Other swimmers that swam just outside of their best were Carly Truong, Ben Jobson, Marie Campbell, Sophie Hollie, Demi Smith, Sadie Lucas, Lewis Defreitas Archer and Chris Stamp.In the relays the women’s 4x200 relay came 2nd and 2nd in the 4x100 free team. The men cam 1st in the 4x100 IM and 2nd in the 4x100 free and 4x200 relays. The girls came 3rd in the 4x50 IM. The boys relays will be swum later
