Swimmers from Redbridge participated in a major long course competition in Sheffield last weekend.
Charlie Dentith achieved another 3 national times in the 200 fly, 200Im and 800 free. The 200 fly was a 5 sec PB and the 200IM 2 secs. Charlie also swam iin the 200 breast which was just outside of his best. Chris Inch, having just returned from a shoulder injury, swam 58 secs for the 100 fly. He also swam 2.15 for the 200IM and 2mins for the 200 free – both just outside of his best.
Kelsey Richards swam a PB in the 200IM (2.31) and finished just outside of her best in the 200 free.
Lawrence Brown swam a superb 4 sec PB in the 200 back – his time of 2.23 was 2 secs outside of the national time. He also swam a PB in the 100 back and 100 free. Lawrence was just outside of his best in the 200 free.
Frank McGuirk was in great form, setting a massive PB in the 800 free, a 4 sec PB in the 200 free (2.22) and another PB in the 200 back and 400 free.
Ciara Purcell equalled her PB in the 1500 free and 100 breast and achieved a PB in the 400, 800 free, 200 free (2.31) and 200IM. Ciara also achieved a best time in the 100 free and 200 breast.
Morgan Brown also achieved a huge PB in the 800 free and in the 400 free (5.04). He also set a 8 sec PB in the 200 back.
Claire Golightly achieved a PB in the 800 free and 200 back.
Sophia Amoroso also achieved a best time in the 800 free
Grace Wingrove achieved a 6 sec PB in the 200 breast (3.05) and 9 sec PB in the 400IM and a 1 sec PB in the 200 free (2.26). Grace also set a PB in the 200 back and 200IM
Craig Moate showed he is getting back to form with a season best in the 200 fly (2.28), 200 free (2.12) and 400 free. He was just outside of his best in the 100 free and fly.
Fraser Scott achieved a 3 sec PB in the 100 free and another PB in the 400IM and also in the 100 breast. Fraser also equalled his 200 breast time.
Chris Stamp was just outside of his best in the 200 free. His brother Joe, swam well in the 1000 back and 400IM.
LBRSC younger swimmers will now compete in the London Age Group Championships at Crystal Palace over the next 2 weekends.
