Accident Procedure

If there is an accident at the pool, the following procedure must be followed.

1) Ensure everyone is safe

2) Inform the pool staff who will assess the situation and follow their emergency plans

3) All coaches carry telephone numbers of their swimmers. The swimmers parents must be called immediately

4) An accident report must be completed

5) The incident must be recorded in the Club Accident / Incident books (in the filing cabinets) and the clubs Child Safety Officer (Sue Ross) must be notified.
