Finance Policies

Keeping Track

The Treasurer supported by the pool co-ordinators maintains accurate records of your family's fees and commitments. The club's financial statements can be viewed on this page by logging in to the site.

Discretion of the Treasurer and Chair

The Chair and Treasurer are authorised by the Club's Committee to review individual cases and total Club situations, and make necessary adjustments and changes to the above fees and commitments. These are reported back to the Committee for ratification. If you are unable to meet your financial obligations due to extenuating circumstances contact the Treasurer by email on treasurer@lbrsc.org

If Your Swimmer Squad Level Changes

Once your swimmer is training at a new squad level, your swimmer will be considered to have made that change. At that time your fee, will be adjusted and pro-rated based on the number of months remaining to the end of the swim year.

If Your Swimmer Joins Part Way through the Swim Year

If you join after the swim year has started,

Membership Fee-

is payable for the full swim year.

Squad Fees-

a monthly/quarter fees will be due prorata. Coaching and squad fees are paid quarterly in advance or on 1st January, April, July, October. The swim year runs from April to the end of March for purposes of calculating financial commitment for swimmers joining part way through the year.

If You Fail to Fulfill Your Financial Commitments

You now know how important your family involvement and financial commitment are to the success of the Club. Any member whose fees remain unpaid for 30 days after due date will be written to by the Chair & Treasurer. Failure to bring your commitments up to date within 7 days of the initial letter (or other agreement with the Chair & Treasurer) will result in a further letter being issued advising that the member will be suspended by the Committee from some or all Club activities from a date determined by the Committee until payment is made. If payment is still not made within 7 days of writing the second letter (or agreement reached with Chair & Treasurer), the club will write again stating that the member is suspended with immediate effect. If after a further 7 days payment is still not forthcoming, the committee will view that you have decided to leave the club and the member will no longer have a place in their current squad. If you are an ASA registered official who participates in our licensed galas the following benefits are afforded to you:

Club Funded Gala Entry
In the following circumstances the Club will fund the swimmers entry fees;

Club Contribution for National Swimmers
In the event of a member achieving qualification times for ASA National BAGCAT and Youth Championships, the club will contribute 50% of the hotel accommodation cost (at the Club’s designated hotel) of the room in which the swimmer resides. This contribution will only be payable on the days on which the swimmer races. If further clarification is required, please speak to the Treasurer.

The annual membership fee is per swimmer is outlined in the following table for 2010. This fee must be paid in full at time of registration and is non-refundable.

Your membership fee includes:

  1. Registration with Amateur Swimming Association
  2. Registration with London Region ASA 
  3. Registration with Essex County ASA

IF YOUR FAMILY HAS AN OUTSTANDING AMOUNT OWING TO THE CLUB FROM A PREVIOUS YEAR, REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE OUTSTANDING AMOUNT IS PAID IN FULL.

Squad/Learn to Swim Fees

Membership fees are based on the level at which your swimmer trains. The more hours of training per week, the higher the squad fee.

Up to two sessions per week. Additional session is available at an extra of £5.00 per month.
Certain A2 swimmers may chose to swim with CD squad. The revised cost for this will be £36 per month as they have the same number of sessions as C Squad.
