Club Profile

The London Borough of Redbridge Swimming club is a member of the Amateur Swimming Association (ASA) and was formed in 2003 after the amalgamation of four swimming clubs; Sans Egal, Ilford, Redbridge and Redbridge Borough Training Squad. We are the only sport within the London Borough of Redbridge to receive financial assistance from Redbridge Council. Clear performance targets and goals are set annually by the committee to ensure a clear vision for the club's progression.

Each year the club holds an Annual General Meeting (AGM) in order that club members are advised of the Chairman and Treasurer's annual reports and are able to elect representatives for the club's committee. The club welcomes the support of families of swimmers both in terms of club management and help at the poolside during galas

In addition, the club holds quarterly advisory parent forums in order that club members are kept abreast of developments and are given the opportunity to contribute to the decision making process.

The London Borough of Redbridge swimming club is one of the top three swimming clubs in Essex. We have approximately 400 members, ranging from Learn to Swim to National standard.

The Club aims to:

be a community which works together to ensure swimmers of all abilities are inspired to achieve their full potential;

promote a culture where all swimmers support and respect each other in training and competition and every one's success is celebrated;

We will achieve this by coaches, teachers, swimmers, committee members and parents working together.
